The Manager of Human Resources is responsible for supporting the Company’s efforts to attract, select, support, reward, and retain employees consistent with the Company’s values.  The Human Resource manager is responsible for the timely and accurate completion of  the following:


Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Labor relations to include investigating, adjudicating and responding in a timely manner to grievances; job bids; overtime tracking, etc.
  • Creation and administration of Employee Health and Safety programs
  • Workers compensation administration to include training, investigations, and return to work
  • Recruitment, selection, screening, orientation, benefit program enrollments and training
  • Administration of employee benefit plans (medical, vision, dental, flex spending)
  • Administration of  FMLA, and short and long term disability programs
  • Maintenance of employee files
  • Oversight of Company’s environmental programs and required reporting


Required Background:

  1. BS in Business or Operations strongly preferred or Associates degree + sufficient relevant experience
  2. A minimum 5 years HR leadership experience in a manufacturing environment

  2. Extremely well organized, thorough and attentive to detail
  3. Demonstrated ability to prioritize, multi-task, and meet deadlines
  4. Decisive with strong analytical and problem solving skills
  5. Outstanding communication skills
  6. Strong work ethic and willingness to invest the hours necessary
  7. Demonstrated proficiency with Microsoft Office Products
  8. Experience developing and delivering effective training
  9. Experience developing and implementing effective safety programs
  10. Deep understanding federal and state labor, benefits, and safety laws


Desired skills/traits:

  1. Experience and comfort operating in a union environment (Columbus OH only)
  2. Demonstrated proficiency with ERP systems
