Purpose

The Senior Plant Accountant will own the financial controls and reporting for the Batavia Ohio production facility. They will work closely with plant leadership to ensure timely and accurate financial data is available to drive good business decisions. This position has no direct reports.

 

Key duties and responsibilities

  • Complete month-end close, submit accruals, and process journal entries
  • Prepare weekly financial forecasts in prescribed format
  • Manage vendor master data, approve purchases, and reconcile open purchase orders
  • Analyze variances in materials and labor to identify cost savings
  • Report daily costs for scrap, labor, freight, M&R, and operating supplies
  • Validate inventory accuracy, establish standard costs, and modify BOMs
  • Track tooling income and interface with corporate or customer representatives
  • Support the quoting process to ensure adequate margins
  • Audit processes to ensure SOX compliance and report findings
  • Compile weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual Key Performance Indicators (KPI)
  • Prepare the annual business plan and associated budgets
  • Drive cost consciousness on cross-functional teams and lead cost-improvement projects
  • Create and submit capital expenditure requests
  • Champion plant-wide adoption of ERP system best practices including training new hires and facilitating a good data collection culture

 

Required Background

  • Minimum two years cost accounting or related experience
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance

  • Expert knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite
  • Highly organized with the ability to prioritize

Purpose

The Business Management System Coordinator will own the document control system and ensure compliance with IATF 16949 standards through internal auditing and reporting to internal/external customers.

 Key duties and responsibilities

  • Coordinate IATF certification and recertification processes
  • Create and review documents for format, consistency, and compliance
  • Train staff on document control policies and procedures
  • Maintain revision control and tracking for controlled documents
  • Confirm that all submitted documentation is accurate and complete
  • Review site policies, operating procedures, work instructions and forms for format consistency
  • Oversee compliance and standards development from documentation to final product
  • Provide IATF 16949 standard guidance to process owners when addressing compliance to achieve efficient, effective processes
  • Track and ensure products and procedures meet standards, and identify problems to resolve
  • Perform internal audits of processes and procedures then track and report status of findings
  • Lead internal training for system auditors
  • Gather and report Key Performance Indicator to Plant Management and Corporate Officers
  •  

Required Background

  • Two years of technical writing or internal auditing experience
  • Associates degree

Required Skills and Experience

  • Document creation for Management Review and Control per ISO/TS 16949 or ISO 9001
  • Expert knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite
  • Highly organized with the ability to prioritize
  • Experience implementing ISO/TS or IATF16949 systems in a manufacturing environment preferred
  • 16949 Lead Auditor certification desired

Core Composites Corporation, a leading producer and molder of  fiberglass reinforced parts for the heavy truck industry, is seeking maintenance technicians for both 2nd (3:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m.and  3rd (11:00 p.m. to 7:00 a.m.).shifts. Reporting to the Maintenance Supervisor, the Maintenance Technician performs a wide range of maintenance and repair activities on production equipment and plant facilities to meet production requirements and general operational needs. The position is a hourly with weekly pay.  Outstanding and extremely affordable benefits, including profit sharing and funded 401k.   Starting rates between $21.20 and $25.50/hour depending upon experience and skill set.  Plenty of overtime opportunities available.

Job Responsibilities, Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Performs a variety of electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic and other types of diagnosis and repair of production and support equipment
  • Performs scheduled preventative maintenance activities on equipment in order to minimize downtime and lengthen equipment useful life
  • Maintains appropriate repair logs and notes in order to track repair trends and set future preventative maintenance schedules
  • Works closely with production supervision and technical support to assist in proper equipment set-up and operation
